Auditioning for The Chorale

The Orlando Chorale is a highly-select, auditioned choral ensemble. Professional and experienced singers, who read music and have good pitch, are encourage to audition.

The next auditions will be held
August 18, 19, 20, 25, 26, 2008.

ALL AUDITIONS ARE BY APPOINTMENT AND MUST BE SCHEDULED IN ADVANCE.

No preparation is necessary for the audition. Singers whose vocal skills are strong and who show an ability to blend well with other voices will be considered for membership. The audition will consist of vocalizing, pitch-matching and some simple sightreading and will take approximately 10 minutes. All auditions are held at First United Methodist Church of Orlando (142 E. Jackson Street).

Auditioning for The Orlando Chamber Singers and the Professional Core of The Chorale

The Orlando Chorale holds auditions for the Professional Core in August only.
AUDITIONS FOR THE CHAMBER SINGERS WILL BE HELD ON:
AUGUST 27, 2008

Highly experienced singers, preferably with a degree in music, may audition for The Orlando Chamber Singers. This audition will consist of a prepared solo, sightreading and ensemble singing. Those who score most successfully in these areas will be considered for a professional contract.

Singers under contract with The Orlando Chamber Singers will be expected to sing in both the Chamber Singers and in the Professional Core of The Chorale. The Chamber Singers rehearse on Tuesday evenings at 6:00 pm.
