The Orlando Chorale

Ledean Williams
Assistant Music Director / Accompanist

Ledean Williams is the most recent addition to The Orlando Chorale staff. Ledean was born and raised in Tallahassee, Florida, where she enjoyed piano study and singing at school and church from an early age. Her love for both piano and choral music quickly developed into a lifelong vocation in accompanying.

Ledean has played alongside vocalists and instrumentalists in solo, choral, chamber, musical theater, and church settings, including performances with the Eastern Shore Choral Society (Fairhope, Alabama), the Garden Community Choir (Winter Garden), the Mobile Piano Ensemble, the Young Actor's Theater (Tallahassee, Florida), choirs and soloists at Florida State University and Louisiana State University, and various high school choral programs and competitions.

Ledean holds a Bachelors degree in Music Education from Florida State University, and a Masters degree in Piano Pedagogy from Louisiana State University. After graduate school, she was the Director of the Music Academy for precollege music study, and also the Academic Advisor for undergraduate music students at LSU. While living in Alabama and Georgia with her husband, she taught private and group piano lessons to children and adults of all ages. She was an active member of the Alabama chapter of the Music Teachers National Association, and has given presentations at local, state and national conventions for MTNA.

Ledean is also the accompanist for the Garden Community Choir and the pianist at Windermere Community Church. She lives in Clermont with her husband, Carey, and their two daughters, Aubrey and Olivia.
